NEO Hungarian Assistance Dog Association has been founded in 2011, with the main goal of representing the interests of handicapped people, helping their social integration with the aid of specially trained dogs. Most of our employees are handicapped themselves, professionals owning their own four-legged helper (dog trainer, special education teacher, sociologist). Our profile includes the training and application of assistance dogs for handicapped and deaf people, other special personal assistance dogs (cross-trained dogs, autism service-dogs) and therapeutic dogs.
Our second calling is a widespread change in the social approach: the aim of our sensitizing program is not only the integration of the disabled and the help for them to get equal opportunities, but to improve the social skills of the wholesome students (helpfulness, empathy, cooperative skills) and to provide personality and social development.
